Tracy A. Duany

Tracy has been a member of the Mullin Law Group since its inception. She began her legal career in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she represented owners, contractors and sureties in complex construction disputes. She subsequently expanded her practice to include the representation of individuals, business entities and community associations in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, commercial torts and trademark and copyright infringement claims.

In 2001, Tracy relocated to Seattle and shifted her focus to general liability defense. Tracy has represented clients in state and federal courts on both the trial and appellate levels. She has experience defending, monitoring and resolving a variety of complex cases, including claims for medical malpractice, product liability, construction injury, wrongful death, construction defect, property damage, employer liability and breach of contract.

In addition to her general liability defense practice, Tracy also handles sophisticated insurance coverage matters. Tracy is a Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee, a National Editor for the CGL Reporter and a member of the National Insurance Coverage Association. Tracy works closely with insurance carriers to make determinations concerning the duties to defend and indemnify, and to resolve primary and excess insurance issues. She has successfully represented insurance carriers in declaratory judgment actions and in bad faith actions, and obtained a favorable ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirming her client’s rightful denial of coverage for alleged advertising injuries.

Tracy attended undergraduate and law school at the University of Florida where she was a Senior Editor of the Florida Law Review. She also studied international law and international human rights at University College London. Outside of the office, Tracy enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to new and exciting places and cheering on the Florida Gators.
